I began the Best Body Countdown because I knew that my weight would only continue to increase if I didn’t do something that would get the extra weight off and enable me to keep it off!
I really had no idea how much I was eating. When I began to pay attention to the sugar in my food and the actual amount of food I was eating, things began to change.
Interestingly enough, nothing about the 52 days seemed so amazingly hard. I have recommended the Countdown to Your Best Body to everyone who comments on the difference they see in me. The Countdown is simple – the basics of learning how to fuel the body and exercise it so that it works at its maximum potential. (I didn’t need crazy recipes that would require me to locate a new and exciting sweetener or root vegetable from some other country).
Everyday I felt like I was meeting with my own personal nutritionist. As I stumbled through learning the new information, I felt empowered with each new day.
So, plan ahead and get rid of your fat clothes! I lost about 20 pounds and doubled my plank time! 52 days was long enough to make the lifestyle changes into habit and I felt so much better that there was no reason to drop them! It’s been a few months since completing the Countdown now and I have maintained my weight loss – the principles have become what I do. My entire family has been impacted by the Countdown. My children check serving sizes and sugar grams. We measure our caramel popcorn! 🙂 I feel like all 6 of us are learning the balance and are aware of how we treat our bodies. My advice to others doing the 52-day Countdown? Know your triggers so you can plan ahead…and use the Success Journal.
